The Wolverine Bar Association has a proud legacy of promoting and supporting the professional development of African-American attorneys, jurists, and law students in metropolitan Detroit as well as the greater Michigan area. Tracing its origin to the founding of the Harlan Law Club nearly one hundred years ago, the WBA was founded upon the principles of excellence in the pursuit of justice, and equal access and protection under the law. The WBA's lasting commitment to these guiding principles is evident in the organization's varied and important work today. I invite you to share in the WBA's rich history, and to partner with us in further advancing the organization's goals, by becoming a member of the WBA.

Register for the MBPP
The Minority Bar Passage Program (MBPP) is designed to improve bar passage rates of minority law school graduates sitting for the Michigan Bar Exam. Through weekly examinations, a mock bar examination, group sessions and lectures by local attorneys, MBPP provides assistance in the areas of: (i) Essay Writing Skills/Strategy; (ii) Test Taking Skills/Strategy; (iii) Time Management; and (iv) Stress Management.
Each week during the program, students will take mini-exams consisting of three essay questions. Students will also take a full mock bar exam consisting of 15 essay questions. MBPP does not teach substantive law. Accordingly, MBPP should be taken in conjunction with a traditional bar review course to give you the ultimate edge in studying for "both the multi-state and essay sections" of the exam.
